Frequently Asked Questions
How many people are on a typical tour? Each destination is a bit different. We like to limit our programs to 15 persons. Custom programs are determined by the group organizer.
Do your tours include airfare? We can include your airfare on every program we offer. You may use your own frequent flyer points, reserve your own air or join our group departures.

Is travel insurance offered? We offer travel insurance with every group departure. Our carrier is Travelex, you may visit their web site to inquire about the type of coverage offered www.travelex.com. We always recommend travel insurance for all the products we sell; these are uncertain times for everyone.
What is the typical age of your tour participants? The target audience is ages 35 to 65. We encourage all women to travel with us. Ladies under 21 would not find most programs entertaining or enriching.
Where do tours begin? Most programs begin on the first day at the first hotel on the itinerary. We suggest an arrival deadline to allow for hotel check in and to meet your new group of friends. Transportation to the hotels is not included if we do not make your air reservations.
When do I receive my tour confirmation? After receipt of deposit and it is determined we have the minimum number of participants to operate the tour.
How do I make my deposit and final payment? We request deposits by check and signed reservation form sent to Armstrong & Hedges LTD to secure your place. The final payment is often payable by credit card 60-90 days before departure from your home town. Your deposits and final payments are placed in our Client Trust Account at Wells Fargo Bank, Berkeley, California. We are covered by the California TCRC and have a CST# 2054400-40.

The taxes and gratuities are included for these meals. We can always recommend cafes, bistros or restaurants. The concierge can assist with reservations as well. This allows for everyone to choose the style of dining that suits them, their diet and pocketbook.
How much luggage can I bring? First, you need to be able to claim your own luggage at the airports. Most carriers allow one piece of checked luggage and one piece of carry-on that fits in the overhead compartment. Often International regulations are different. We include the cost of one (1) piece to be handled by the hotel porters. Complete packing guidelines, weight limits and restrictions are given prior to departure.
