As discriminating women, we began offering Women’s Tours and Sojourns more than a decade ago. Armstrong & Hedges LTD was founded with the idea of offering women a nurturing environment in which to live their dreams, expand their horizons and make new friends. We were the exclusive travel company for Victoria Magazine from 1999 to 2003 during the tenure of Nancy Lindemeyer. Many of the guests on these travel programs still travel with us today. An ambiance of stylish living is the hallmark of our travel planning expertise.

Our founder, Michele Abrate is a lifelong resident of California and began traveling at an early age. Her wanderlust has taken her to Australia, Turkey, Israel,  France, Italy, Canada Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Vietnam, Hong Kong,  the British Isles, Mexico, Caribbean, Central America and more than forty states including Hawaii. She began her travel career after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Art History and working in several well known galleries in Los Angeles. Her interest in art and history led to a natural progression of a career in travel consulting; combined with extensive knowledge of culinary pursuits, fashion, collecting, interior design and lifestyles. She offers an extraordinary personal experience for each of her clients. For more than thirty years she has shared her extensive travel knowledge gained both here and abroad to create a worldwide network of unique and special experiences offered on each of the varied itineraries created by Armstrong & Hedges LTD. She earned her CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) in 1987. This designation is the highest educational designation awarded in the travel industry, the equivalent of a master’s degree. Those who know Michele are always amazed by her energy, sense of humor and joy of life. She enjoys sharing a destination and an experience in a personal way with each of her guests to create a one of a kind memory that is theirs alone.
